What is with the Name?

The name 'The Ships' Wake' was actually conceptualized by my wife Denise who as an early supporter of my endeavor to brand my own web development company.

The Ships' Wake is a visual metaphor - Web Sites are like ships that could get lost in the Sea of endless digital Information. The Ships' Wake - builds & launches Web Solutions for Businesses. Simple Enough.

I have a lot of passion for new technology. and very much believe in combining traditional ad and graphic design with new web based information systems. Thats why we can deliver a fresh, unique 'stand out' web site.

The Face Behind the Code

My name is James Sample, and I am a web and graphic designer living in Cary, North Carolina.

I am originally from Toronto, Canada - but have moved around from as far North as Newfoundland, Canada to the extreme desert climates of Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

My involvement in web design stems from experience working with video and photography. Elements from these types of media are always incorporated into web sites.

My exposure to different cultures and surroundings has given me a great visual canvas for ideas and inspiration as a designer.
